Bio

Dr Wandji is a Cameroonian-born American entrepreneur and leader with a proven track record of innovation at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and finance. He is the Co-Founder, President, and CEO of DiaspoCare, a digital platform and mobile app that empowers African immigrants to finance affordable, quality healthcare for their relatives back home. DiaspoCare operates with headquarters in the USA, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, and Nigeria.

Dr Wandji also serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer of UzoBi, a MedTech company that connects patients, providers, and payers with clinical ethicists—an “Uber for Ethicists”—enabling ethically guided, values-based healthcare decisions to be built directly into patients’ advance directives.

His corporate leadership experience includes serving as Senior Director of Business Development at Ginkgo Bioworks, a Boston-based biotech company, as well as Vice President of Strategy, Business Development, Innovation, and Digital Health at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Cargill—the world’s largest agribusiness—where he managed intellectual assets, and at Colgate-Palmolive Company.

Dr Wandji is also Chairman of the Board of Directors at Agricycle Global, a company that empowers thousands of women in East Africa with solar-powered dehydrators to upcycle fruit for global markets. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Warriors Fund.

Dr Wandji holds a Master’s degree in Neurophysiology and a PhD in Reproductive Physiology from Laval University. He completed post-doctoral training in Reproductive Endocrinology at Cornell University and the Penn State College of Medicine. Additionally, he holds a Master’s degree in Management of Technology from the University of Pennsylvania.
